Setting up in Qatar isn't complicated — but it is unforgiving. A misfiled activity code, a mismatched shareholder document, or the wrong banking partner can add months to your timeline and thousands to your cost. Jusoor's business setup engagement covers structuring, licensing, banking, tax and residency under one fixed fee, coordinated by a partner who owns the outcome.

Yes. Since the 2019 Foreign Investment Law, foreign investors may hold up to 100% of a Qatari LLC across most sectors — including trading, services, technology, contracting, industry, agriculture, health, education, culture and consulting. A small number of strategic sectors remain reserved or require Qatari participation; we confirm eligibility during the free scoping call.
A straightforward mainland LLC typically completes in 4–6 weeks from the day we receive complete documents. A QFC entity takes 6–10 weeks. A branch of a foreign company usually takes 6–10 weeks depending on the parent's legalisation. Bank account opening runs in parallel and adds 2–4 weeks after CR issuance.
No. Most of our foreign clients complete the entire setup remotely via video calls, a notarised power of attorney and secure document transfer. A short visit is generally only required for bank account signatory verification, and even that is increasingly waived by certain banks.
There is no fixed minimum share capital for most mainland LLCs. Some regulated activities (banking, insurance, contracting classifications, QFC financial services) require specific paid-up capital. We size capital to the activity and to the bank's expectations, not to a generic template.
Foreign-owned Qatari companies pay a flat 10% corporate income tax on locally-sourced profit. There is no personal income tax, no VAT (as of 2026), and no withholding tax on dividends. QFC entities operate under a separate but similarly favourable 10% regime with additional treaty benefits.
We work with Qatar National Bank (QNB), Commercial Bank, Doha Bank, QIB and Dukhan Bank. The right choice depends on your sector, expected volumes, need for trade finance, and whether you require multi-currency or international correspondent banking. We shortlist two or three banks against your profile and manage introductions.
